Privacy notice
Draft, to be reviewed before launch.
Who we are
Vantage HashPay is run by OBM, Inc. In this notice, "we" means OBM, Inc.
What we store
- Account: your email address, a hash of your password (never the password), your handle and display name, and when you signed up and last logged in.
- Pools: the pool addresses, usernames and passwords you enter. We need them to connect to your pools on your behalf.
- Mining activity: per account, the hashrate, accepted and rejected shares and number of miners per pool, sampled once a minute and kept for 7 days; the same per worker (which pool it was on, and accepted, rejected and stale shares); and a log of the last 500 events (pool up or down, miners joining and leaving, problems).
- Leaderboards: off unless you opt in on the settings page. If you do, the public boards show a name you choose (or an anonymous label), your hashrate and how many workers are online. They do not show your handle, email or pools. Opting out removes you from the boards.
- Miners: while a miner is connected, its worker name, the firmware name it announces, its network address, its hashrate and its shares.
- Signup protection: the network address of signup attempts, in memory only, to limit abuse.
What we do with it
Run the service and show you your dashboard. If you opt in, your chosen leaderboard name, hashrate and worker count are shown on the public boards. We do not sell this data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Cookies and third parties
Vantage HashPay sets one cookie, for your login session. There is no analytics or tracking script. The site loads its fonts from Google Fonts, so your browser requests them from Google when it opens a page; you can block that request and the site still works with your system fonts.
Deleting your data
Delete your account from the settings page. That removes the account, your pools and your mining history. Operational logs that mention your handle are rotated out within a short time after that.
